What Goes Into A Body Butter & Comes Out A Liquid Body Balm
Body butter has always been known for one thing: richness. Built around plant butters and oils, it delivers the dense moisture people reach for when lotion no longer feels like enough.
But that richness usually comes in an equally dense form—one that has to be scooped from a jar, warmed between the palms and worked across the skin.
X-Peau. kept what people love about body butter and changed how it is delivered.
The result is Liquid Body Balm: butter-enriched moisture with the fluidity of an oil and the cushion of a balm.
What goes into a traditional body butter?
Traditional body butter is commonly made with plant butters such as shea, cocoa, mango or cupuaçu butter blended with carrier oils.
Butters
Shea, cocoa, mango, cupuaçu. The solids that carry the richness and hold the shape in the jar.
Carrier oils
The fluid share. They thin the butters, help everything spread and control how the formula moves across the skin.
Water & wax
Common in conventional bases. Emulsifying wax and water build a thick, cream-like body.
Some body butters are anhydrous, while others contain water and emulsifying wax to create a thick, cream-like base. Additional waxes or texture-building ingredients may also be used to produce a firmer consistency.
Regardless of the specific composition, the finished product is generally dense, solid or semi-solid—and usually packaged in a jar because it is too thick to move through a pump.
That familiar texture delivers moisture, but it can also require more effort to apply.
X-Peau. changed the form
Not the richness.The delivery.
Butters, oils and skin-conditioning lipids are engineered into a fluid, pumpable balm. It dispenses cleanly from the pump, spreads immediately and moves easily across the skin without requiring heat, scooping or extended rubbing.
It is not a lotion pretending to be body butter. It is concentrated, anhydrous body care designed to deliver body-butter moisture in a more efficient form.

Why pumpable changes the experience
Traditional body butter asks you to open the jar, scoop out the product, warm it between your hands and continue working it until the dense texture begins to move.
Liquid Body Balm starts where that process ends. One pump delivers a controlled amount that is already fluid and ready to spread. The formula moves easily over arms, legs and the rest of the body while still delivering the substantial, cushioned feel expected from richer body care.
A small amount covers real ground.
Body butter did not need to become lighter.
It needed to become easier.
How to use Liquid Body Balm
For the smoothest application, use Liquid Body Balm immediately after bathing while the skin is still slightly damp.
Dispense a small amount into your palm and smooth it over the skin. Begin with less than you think you need—the concentrated formula spreads easily and covers real ground.
Give areas that tend to feel or look drier a second pass:
- Elbows
- Knees
- Shins
- Ankles
- Heels
The result is skin that feels supple, nourished and comfortably cushioned with a silky finish instead of greasy residue.
The fluidity of a body oil.
The moisturization of a body butter.
The cushion of a body balm.
Everything body butter should do—without behaving like body butter.
